Amesbury Days Art Show 

For the 2nd year, the Amesbury Cultural Council (ACC) is sponsoring an Art Show and Sale during Amesbury Days, taking place at City Hall, 62 Friend Street, Amesbury.

Evening Reception 

Friday, June 23rd, 6 - 8:30pm

  • Meet & greet the artists -- we have 22 participating this year!!! 

  • Visitors will also be able to purchase artwork on this night as well as Saturday.

  • Support ACC by buying raffle tickets for artists' donated artwork.

  • Listen to live music by John Tavano

  • Support AHS Freshman class "Chair-ity" by bidding on painted chairs

  • Enjoy "mocktails" and hors d'oevres

  • Meet Mayor Ken Gray

Carriage Museum Kids' Workshops

Saturday, June 24th, 9am - noon

  • Drop-in workshops taking place in City Hall parking lot

  • Multiple building activities exploring locomotion techniques

 

Saturday Art Show

June 24th, 10am - 4pm

  • View juried show featuring an eclectic mix of local artists and fine crafters working with a variety of mediums. 

  • Merrimac Valley Quilt Guild will be displaying fine, handmade quilts and holding a raffle to win a quilt.

  • Raffle tickets for artists' donated work will be sold all day, with winners announced at 2pm.

  • Plein air painting demonstration by Ron Quinn outside of City Hall

  • Live, outdoor music provided by North Shore Junction

  • Fabulous line up of poets, authors, and historians speaking throughout the day:

    • 10 am: A talk about the John Greenleaf Whittier Home by Chris Bryant, WHA President.

    • 11am: Poetry reading by Lainie Senechal, Amesbury's Poet Laureate.

    • 12 pm: Life experiences and reading from her latest book, Muriel Angelil, artist, poet, and author.

    • 1 pm: A talk about her new book, Called to Justice, Edith Maxwell Award-winning and national bestselling Amesbury author.

    • 2 pm: Performance of "Untitled" by D. Weiss by Christine Remus and Kate Bernardoni. If your art could talk - what would it think of you - Are you red dot worthy?
